Anna was born Aug. 24, 1885 at Lenden, the daughter of Abraham and Eliza Jane Montgomery Akers. Her parents traveled from the east over the Cumberland Trail and settled in Harmony where she spent her early life, attending school there.
She later was employed as a clerk in the former Woolworth store in the Davis building.
On April 13, 1913 she was married to Francis Salin and they made their home for a few years on North Columbia Street. They later lived in the Hadleytown area. He preceded her in death May 10, 1970.
