He was a member of St. Edna Catholic Church in Arlington Heights.
Joseph loved to vacation with his family, and enjoyed being the "Family Photographer." He loved to spend time with his family, especially his granddaughters, and was loved by many.
Joseph is survived by his spouse, Kathleen (nee Trela), whom he married on January 29, 1972 in Niles; loving daughter, Joleen (Joseph) Veverka; granddaughters, Jenna and Julia; and sister-in-law, Janet (Frank) Lombardo; nephew, uncle, and cousin to many. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A visitation will be held on Friday, July 18, 2014 from 3:00 until 9:00 p.m. at Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 North Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights. In state 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 19, 2014 until the 10:00 a.m. Funeral Mass in St. Edna Catholic Church, 2525 North Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights.
Entombment at All Saints in Des Plaines.
