NICOLE KING, "Nikki," went home to be with the Lord on December 6th, 2009 in Denver, Colorado with her devoted fiancé by her side. Born on December 2nd, 1981, in Orlando, FL, Nikki spent the majority of her life in Winter Park, FL. She graduated from Winter Park High School in 2000, and attended Valencia Community College. She moved to Parker, Colorado in 2005 with the love of her life and fiancé, Steven M. Oppermann. While residing there, Nikki worked as an Asset Manager for Aurora Loan Services, and spent most of her free time reading, hiking, camping, taking pictures, spending time with her fiancé and dogs, Casey, Max and Myla, and talking on the phone with her parents. Nikki radiated benevolence and warmth; people who were blessed enough to be part of her life always expressed how selfless, considerate, and extremely kind she was. Her compassionate nature proved that her first priority was caring for others. She leaves memories to be cherished by her parents, Mark and Kimberley Mewhorter, of Winter Park, FL; her brother, Chad King, of Winter Springs, FL; her fiancé, Steve Opperman, of Parker, CO; and a multitude of much loved relatives and friends whose lives she touched.
