Jo Ann Patterson Mason 83, of Dover, died Monday, July 14, 2014 at the Inn at Northwood in Dover. Born Jan. 10, 1931 in Dover, she was a daughter of the late Mervin and Helen Harvey Lahmers. Jo Ann was also preceded in death by her son, Craig Patterson.
She was a 1949 graduate of Dover High School and a 1950 graduate of the Anson L. Brown School for Lab Technicians in Columbus. Jo Ann was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the St. Joe Seniors, Alpha Pi Sigma Sorority and the Union County Club Women's Golf Association. She was an avid golfer who also enjoyed playing cards and gardening. Jo Ann was a determined woman who never let failing eyesight prevent her from living a full and active life.
Jo Ann is survived by her husband, Robert Mason whom she married Nov. 1, 2006; step children, Julie (Paul) Bouza of Westerville, Ohio, Stacy (Rick) Milazzo of Seven Fields, Penn. and Steve Mason of Sunbury, Ohio; five step-grandchildren.
A funeral mass will be held Friday, July 18 at 10:30 a.m. in the St. Joseph Catholic Church with Fr. Jimmy Hatfield officiating. Interment will be in the Ridgecrest Memory Garden.
