Cantor of Temple Ohabei Shalom 1946-1954

Cantor Alfred and his wife Hilde Rosbash were Jewish refugees who left Nazi Germany in 1938.

His son, Michael Morris Rosbash, along with 2 colleagues, was awarded the 2017 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine "for their discoveries of molecular mechanisms controlling the circadian rhythm."
