Anthony Steven "Bear" Miller, died on Friday, June 13, surrounded by his family at the Pottstown Memorial Medical Center. Anthony was 53.
Son of Altamese (Leroy) Miller and the late Caleb W. Miller.
Anthony was born and raised in Pottstown. He attended Pottstown High School, and worked for a time at the Stanley G. Flagg Company. He then worked in construction as a heavy machine operator at the former JMG Excavating Company.
Anthony was an avid sports enthusiast and baseball card collector. He also liked to cook. Some of his favorite things were visiting family, and spending time with his grandsons. He was a loving, caring, and devoted father.
Survivors include his loving fiancé, Tulisa "Goldie" McCalvin, his mother; Altamese (Leroy) Miller, Three Sons; Anthony Steven Miller II, Ameer Miller, and Marleeke Lear, all of Pottstown, One brother; Ricardo Miller of Pottstown, Three Sisters; Cheryl L. Miller of Columbus, GA, Sharon E. Lyons of Chesterfield, VA, and Alison E. Hunter and her husband Samuel L. Hunter Sr. of Pottstown. Two grandsons; Anthony S. "Bubby"Miller III, and Jace Elijah "JJ" Miller. Also survived by four nephews and four great-nephews.
In addition to his father, Anthony is preceded in death by his brother, Craig Kenneth Miller.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, 12:00 Noon, at the Houck & Gofus Funeral Home,
955 N. Charlotte St. Pottstown, PA 19464. The family will receive guests after 10:30AM.
Minister Samuel L. Hunter, Sr; Pastor Reggie Brooks; and Pastor Glenwood Butts will officiate. Interment will be at Mt. Zion Cemetery
