Mrs. Mabel Amen, 85, resident of Hastings for many years, died early today at her home, 418 New York avenue.
The widow of the late George Amen, who died in 1930, Mrs. Amen had been in failing health for several years.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Margaret Schorton of Riverton, Wyo., Mrs,. Catherine Schafer, Ovid, Colo., Mrs. Elizabeth Blumenthal, Cheyenne, Wyo.; two sons, George Amen, North Platte, Fred Amen, Hastings; two brothers, Conrad Eckhardt, Friend; Jacob Eckhardt, Hastings; 26 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Funeral services have been tentatively set for Sunday afternoon at the New York Avenue Congregational Church, with the Rev. J. P. Hohenstein in charge. Burial will be at Parkview.
