Linda "Sue" Miller, 77, Springfield, passed away on Tuesday, August 2, 2022.
She was born July 9, 1945 in Mansfield, Missouri, the daughter of John A. and Margaret C. Newton. She was a graduate of Mansfield High School and attended Missouri State University.
Sue was employed as an office manager with Springfield Building Maintenance for her entire career, retiring after 57 years.
She made her profession of Faith in Christ and was a member of Schweitzer United Methodist Church. Sue was an avid quilter, loved traveling and spending time at the beach. Her family was so important to her. She loved to cook and just make her family and friends food in abundance. Her reward was hearing "mmmm…so good" or "would you make….for me". Her laugh would bring joy and love into a room.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Bill J. Miller.
Sue is survived by her son, Keith and his wife, Karen, Equador, SA; sister, Ann Rozell and her husband, Gary; two brothers, Roger Newton and his wife, Mary and Mike Newton and his wife, Gail; special friends, Roy and Wanda Street, Lon and Debbe Goff and Brad and Lisa Dark; and many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service for family and close friends will be held in Steele Cemetery, Hartville, Missouri. Arrangements are under the care of Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home.
