She graduated from Montpelier High School and then attended Grimm's Business College in Pocatello. She worked for Montpelier Coal and Lumber until the birth of her children and then later worked for her brothers at the family business, Schmid Brothers Cleaners.
She was a member of the LDS Church and held several positions during her lifetime. She also enjoyed traveling.
She is survived by a companion of many years, Frank Buck of Montpelier; two daughters, Mrs. Dale (Pompy) Taylor of Pocatello and Terry (Nancy) Anderson of Lawton, Ok.; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Gladys Schmid of Montpelier and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, John and Charlie, and two sisters, Ezda and Freda.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the Montpelier First Ward chapel, where friends may call that morning for one hour prior to the services. Burial will be in the Montpelier City Cemetery with services under the direction of Matthews Mortuary.
