Ronald "Ron" J. Broderick, our beloved Dad, Grandfather, Great-Grandfather, Great-Great-Grandfather, and brother went home to his heavenly parents and wife on Monday, 7 January 2013, at the age of 89, passing from natural causes at his West Bountiful, Davis County, Utah home.

Ron was born in Sunnyside, Carbon County, Utah on Wednesday, 10 October 1923, to Clinton John and Roseltha Pearce Broderick. On Sunday, 27 September 1942, he married Lorna Beth Jones; their marriage was sealed in the Manti LDS Temple on Thursday, 21 March 1946, after Dad's return home from WWII. The couple shared their lives together for sixty-nine years, until Mom's passing on Wednesday, 23 November 2011.

Dad loved Mom and their children very much, and made many personal sacrifices on their behalf. Many times they enjoyed camping, fishing and/or hunting, as well as vacation trips. Ron and Lorna were active members of the LDS Church for which they served a four-and-a-half year mission, traveling all over the Continental U.S., microfilming City and County records for the Church History Department.

Dad had many talents. He was a "Jack of all Trades" and loved to create his own inventions, rather than running down to the store to buy what was needed. He also had a beautiful singing voice and, over the years, composed many poems and lyrics.

Surviving Ron are his children, LeRoy (Sharilyn); JeNan Page; Danny (Vicki); Kevin (Laurie); KaeLeen (John) Garrick; and Patricia (Brad) Coburn. Also surviving Ron are his sister, Maurine Johnson; twenty-eight grandchildren, forty-eight great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

The family expresses its sincere thanks for the loving care provided Dad from Alpha Hospice, Abundant Life Hospice; his son, LeRoy and CNA granddaughters, Kristy Sandgren and Mindy Godnick; along with so many others.

Funeral services were held at 1 P.M. on Saturday, 12 January, 2013, in the West Bountiful 6th Ward Chapel, 1750 North 900 West where family and friends could visit between 11:30 A.M. to 12:45 P.M. and from 6 to 8 P.M., on Friday, 11 January, at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 North Main, Bountiful, Utah. Interment: Bountiful City Cemetery.
