Ann Earlene Pierce
(December 18, 1948 - July 14, 2014)

Mrs. Ann E. Pierce, age 65, of Rex, passed away, July 14, 2014. She earned a Masters of Education from Georgia State University and became a nurse to care for others. She loved working with the elderly and disabled. She was a true giver to those in need. Strangers would confide in her; she had an aura of compassion. She was a listener without judgment, an animal lover and rescuer, loved movies and musicals, playing the organ and piano, and an artist. She was active in the Meals on Wheels program for Clayton County. She loved spending her Saturdays going to yard sales. Ann was an Ombudsman for elder care homes. She is well-loved and will be sorely missed. Ann's faith in Christ assures us that she is now in heaven with our Savior.

She is survived by her husband, Roger J. Pierce; children and their spouses, Sharon Lynn (Kevin) Carnegie of Alpharetta, Eric Michael (Amanda) Pierce of VA; and grandchildren, Nathan Pierce Carnegie and Libby Caroline Carnegie.

A graveside service will be held at 3 PM on Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at Fairview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, July 16, 2014 from 12:30-2:30 PM.
