Marcia Edsell Powers, 60, of Rome, Pa., passed away Saturday, July 12, 2014 at her home following an extended illness.
Marcia was born in Towanda, Pa., on February 7, 1954, a daughter of Vivian Jones Edsell and the late Clarence Fenton "Slim" Edsell.
Her main interest in life encompassed her home and family. She was a devoted wife and mother.
Surviving are her husband Gary D. Powers Sr.; mother Vivian Jones Edsell of Rome; daughters Stacy Powers of Forksville, Marcy Powers of Wyalusing, Lacy Powers of Rome; step-children Bobbie Jo Greenland of Waverly, Billie Jo Miller of Waverly, Gary D. Powers II and wife Rebecca of Raleigh, N.C.; sisters and brothers-in-law Penny and Michael Roberts of Wysox, Diane and Bill Mosier of Rome; brother Edwin Edsell of Rome; and several step-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father Clarence Fenton Edsell on July 20, 1998.
The funeral service will be held Thursday, July 17, 2014 at 1 p.m. at the Maryott-Bowen Funeral Home, 217 York Ave., Towanda, Pa., with Pastor Richard Vieldhouse of the Orwell Bible Church officiating.
Interment will follow in Bradford County Memorial Park, Burlington Twp., Pa.
