Laurel Miranda Brown was born the daughter of Gerald Wilson and Alice Rebecca Kent on November 4, 1993, in Fresno, California, and departed this life on July 11, 2014, at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri, at the age of 20 years.

She was united in marriage at Thayer, Missouri, on May 19, 2012, to John Harvey Brown.

She is survived by her husband, John Brown of the home in Mammoth Spring, Arkansas; one son, Jayce Adam Brown of Mammoth Spring; her father, Gerald Wilson of Roseburg, Oregon; her mother, Alice Rebecca Kent of West Plains, Missouri; her grandparents, Donald and Cheryl Kent of Mammoth Spring; her foster mother, Christie Himschoot of Ash Flat, Arkansas; two brothers, Addison Kent of West Plains, and Jared Wilson of Roseburg, Oregon; six sisters, Celeste Stacel of West Plains, Amelia Kent of Mammoth Spring, Alyza Gerken of West Plains, Lily Kent of Mammoth Spring, Jessica Wilson of Roseburg, Oregon, and Rebecca Sue McCarty of Cherokee Village, Arkansas; two nieces, Melody and Makayla; five nephews, Ashton, Skyler, Jasper, Bryce, and Maddix; and many friends.

Miranda was a caregiver with a servants heart. She was employed by T.J. Swift House, Inc. in Alton, Missouri.

Miranda was a wonderful mother and treasured every moment she spent with Jayce. She, John, and Jayce would often take leisure automobile drives around the community together. She enjoyed cooking, sharing recipes, rodeos, and liked hanging out with friends and family.

She will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Graveside Services will be held Wednesday, July 16, 2014, at 2:00 PM at Rose Hill Cemetery near Thayer, Missouri with Reverend Sam Simmonds officiating.

The family will receive friends at the Carter Funeral Home Chapel, Tuesday, July 15th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.

Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery in Thayer under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc. in Thayer.
