Son of Harold E. Maines and Grace Rose Maines, he was born December 23, 1939 in Newburgh, N.Y.
Jack was a recipient of the Community Involvement Award in New Windsor.
He is survived by three sons: John E. Maines, Jr. of Newburgh, Keith Maines of the state of Florida, and Allen L. Maines of New Windsor; four sisters:
Eleanor Eager and her husband, Milton, of Middlehope, Charlotte Puff of the state of Florida, Edna Redner and her husband, Ralph, of Wallkill, and Marion McGrath and her husband, Thomas, of Newburgh; one brother, Harold Maines of Plattekill; three grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by one sister, Elizabeth Canfield.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday July 12, 2005 from 7-9 PM at Quigley Bros.
Funeral Home, Inc., 337 Hudson St., Cornwall-On-Hudson, N.Y.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 13 at 11:00 AM in the funeral home.
Entombment will be at the Cedar Hill Mausoleum in Newburgh, N.Y.
Arrangements are under the direction of Quigley Bros. Funeral Home, Inc."
