He is survived by his wife, Sinda Spears Koon; son, Jamie (Donna) Koon Jr; daughters, Cynthia Lou (Bobby) Stanley and Amanda Sue (Shannon) Hook; grandchildren, Aaron, James, Wesley, Meskle, Jonathan, Tatum, Abigail, Damion, Matthew, Abby, Brittany and Dakota; brothers, Mike (Deb) Koon and Bob Koon; sisters, Bet (Junior) Lowery, Karen Spears, Kelly (Jim) Landerman, Deb Koon, Tracey Lawson, Jane (Zeke) Brooks and Patty (Troy) Watts; mother in law, Betty Spears; brother and sister in laws, John and Audrey, Vicky and Ed, Millie and Goebel, Leona and Kay.
He was preceded in death by his father, Howard Koon; mother, Meskle Bolin Koon Spears; step father, Wesley Spears; brother, Butch Bolin; two sisters, Kay and Paula Koon; brother in laws, David Spears, Van Spears and Dave Spears.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1pm on Monday, July 14, 2014 at the J.E. Humphrey Funeral Home, 118 W. Walnut Street, Shawnee with Richard Fitch officiating.
Interment: Beech Grove Cemetery.
