Reba Hice Miller, 65, of Valdese, passed away Thursday July 3, 2014 at Catawba Regional Hospice following a period of declining health.
Mrs. Miller was born on January 22, 1949 in Burke County to the late James Hice and Norma Powell Hice. She was a retired hairdresser, and was a member of Calvary Freewill Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her sisters, Martha Bollinger and Linda Hice; and her brothers, Robert Hice and Kenneth Hice; and two nephews, Chris Burns and Kevin Bollinger.
Survivors include her son, Terry Miller and companion Jana Bostain of Morganton; her uncle, Wayne Powell and wife Clara of Morganton; her aunt, Wanda Andrews and husband Roland of Greensboro; also surviving are numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 P.M. Saturday July 5, 2014 in the Chapel of Heritage Funeral Service in Valdese. Officiating will be Rev. Leonard Lindsey and Rev. Don Smith.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 2:00-3:00 P.M. at Heritage Funeral Service in Valdese.
