Maxine Elliott (Casey) Yarbrough was the youngest of two daughters born to the marriage of William James "Shug" Casey and Elizabeth Lula Bennett. Her sister was Willie Elizabeth "Bill" (Casey) Eason.

Around 1944, Maxine Casey became the bride of Raymond Lafayette Yarbrough. The couple would have one child, a son, Ray Lynn.

William James Casey was NOT Maxine's sibling; he was her father. Am struggling to correct this but it appears to have originated on a memorial posted by a deceased person. Her only sibling was her sister, Willie Elizabeth "Bill" (Casey) Eason.
