Troy- Edward A. Goodman Sr., 49, of Troy, owner and operator of Jacques Drive-In Grocery Store in Troy, died Sunday in Temple.
Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Wilkirson-Hatch Funeral Home Chapel, the Rev. Tommy Pruett and the Rev. Ernest Thompson officiating. Military graveside services will be at Waco Memorial Park. Prayer services will be at 7:30 tonight at Wilkirson-Hatch Funeral Home Chapel.
Mr. Goodman was born on Oct. 17, 1938, in Newbern, N.C., where he attended school. He was married to Marie Nunez on Feb. 2, 1973, in Waco.
Mr. Goodman was a Vietnam veteran, serving in the Army 15-1/2 years. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans Waco chapter.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Jane Goodman of Fairborn, Ohio; Eddie (Edward Jr.) Goodman of Troy; a sister, Linda Bland of Tennessee; three brothers, Millard Goodman, Jackie Goodman and Ray Goodman, all of North Carolina, and one grandchild. The family has designated Troy Assembly of God Church for memorials.
