Dennis Edward Medina Jr; born October 3, 1958, died February 25, 2012. Dennis entered into the presence of Jesus at Renown Hospital after a sudden illness. Dennis is survived by his wife Jenn, father Dennis Sr. and mother Alice 'Honey' Medina; brothers Robert Medina and David Medina and his wife Colleen; sons Dennis III, Michael and Jesse and daughter Ashley and husband Jon; and grandsons Quinn and Luke, and many nephews, and nieces and great number of close friends. Dennis graduated from Southern Nevada Vocational Technical Center High School, Votech, as it is known in Las Vegas, where he was student body president his senior year. Dennis and wife Jenn married April 17, 1999 and have spent the 13 years of their marriage in Reno in the rich circle of family, faith, and many good friends. Dennis' career in the food and beverage industry started with Southern Wine and Spirits, and then as co-owner of Bricks restaurant and later owner of CAFE SOLEIL restaurant. This earned him the respect and affection of many. Dennis most recently moved into wine brokerage as Medina Wine Group, and was a principal in the formation of Carina Wines LLC. It was through Carina Wines that Dennis realized a life-long desire to become a wine maker with the debut of "Splash"/"Z53." Dennis was also a member of Northern Nevada Wine Association. The family wishes to extend its gratitude to the staff at Sierra Meadows ICU for their extraordinary care and compassion for Dennis and his family.
The memorial service for Dennis will be held Saturday, March 3, 2012 at 1:00 pm at Living Stones Church. 445 S. Virginia St. (Campus behind Peg's glorified Ham and Eggs.) Reception will immediately follow at the Eldorado Hotel downstairs convention room.

You meant so much to all of us, you were special and that's no lie. You brightened up the darkest day, and the cloudiest sky.
Your smile alone warmed hearts, your laugh was like music to hear. I would give absolutely anything, to have you well and standing near.
Not a second passes when you're not on our minds.
Your love we will never forget, the hurt will ease in time.
Many tears I have seen and cried they have all poured out like rain. I know that you are happy now and no longer in any pain.
-Cassie Mitchell-
We miss you, we think of you daily and we will keep your memory alive.
We love you, Mom and Dad.
In mourning the loss of a loved one you tend to forget to thank those people that were there during our time of grief.
We want to thank Tony King, Larry Ruvo and the family of Southern Wine and Spirits north and south, and all the friends and customers that he had in Northern Nevada. We want to thank Renown Hospital and their excellent staff for being there until his last moments. We want to thank Bricks Restaurant for the generous donation of their food they supplied. We want to thank the Eldarado Hotel and Casino and their wonderful staff for serving their wonderful food and wines at our son's reception. We want to thank all the friends that were there to support his wife and 2 sons he left behind. We want to thank my family and my wife's family for also being there and showing their love and support.
Thank you and God bless you all.
