S. Dean "Wilkie" Wilkinson, 74, of Washington, died Thursday, August 23, 2001, in Washington Hospital.

He was born April 6, 1927, in Washington, a son of Charles F. and Juanita Morrison McGillian Wilkinson.

Mr. Wilkinson was a member of Trinity Bible Fellowship, head elder and had been ordained in Assembly of God in St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada.

He attended Trinity High School and was employed by B.F. Drakenfield, Temple Church Builders for 10 years and had been in the insulation business for 10 years.

During World War II, he served in the U.S. Army in the European Theater. Mr. Wilkinson was a charter member of FGBMF of Washington and was past president of PARC.

He was married to Geneva Cook Wilkinson, who survives.

Surviving are three sons, Clyde Richard, Samuel Dean and Jeffrey Lee Wilkinson, all of Washington; a daughter, Joyce Marie Swan of Prosperity; a stepdaughter, Kathleen B. McMillen of Maryland; two stepsons, Auburn E. "Rusty" Roach of Washington and the Rev. Michael Aaron Roach of Canada; 12 grandchildren, Veda Harris, Nicole Swan, Joseph Swan III, Michaela, Heather and Matthew Roach, Samantha, Heather and Shane Wilkinson, Brent Steele, Christy Toland and James McMillen; 10 great-grandchildren; a brother, Jerry L. Wilkinson of Washington; and a sister, Phyllis Ann Naser of Washington.

Deceased are two brothers, Clarence E. and Charles M. Wilkinson; and a sister, Norma Jean Dinsmore.

WILKINSON – Friends of S. Dean "Wilkie" Wilkinson of Washington, who died Thurs- day, August 23, 2001, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and 2 to 9 p.m. Sun- day in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, and 10 to 11 a.m. Monday, August 27, in Trinity Bible Fellowship, Park Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 11 a.m., with the Rev. John A. Rathbone officiating. Interment in Washington Cemetery.
