Obituary
Geo. W. Cloud was the son of George and Rheuamour Booth Cloud, both deceased. He was born December 31, 1853 near Noblesville, Tipton County, Indiana. He was the fifth of a family of fourteen children, three of whom are living; Charles W. of Arizona, James B. and Minor L., living near Centerville (in this county.)
The family came to Iowa in 1871, settling in Appanoose county in the Haines settlement, from thence they moved to a farm four miles east of this city where they lived until 1879 when they came to Centerville and lived here eversince.
He was a plaster and bricklayer by trade.Confessed his faith in Christ and united with the Christian church of this city in 1880.
He was married to Anna C. Cosner of Centerville in 1882.
To this union was born one daughter, Gertrude, a teacher of this county.
For the past several years has been in failing health, was stricken with blindness a little over a year ago. The immediate cause of his death was paralysis (and heart failure) having passed away at 8:30a.m. September 21. ....
