"Mrs. Martin's Father Dead.

Bertolette Y. Yoder, aged 63 years, died at 1:30 this morning at the home of his daughter, Mrs. C. C. Martin, at the corner of Alameda street and Lea avenue. Mr. and Mrs. Martin are two of Roswell's best citizens and many friends extend sympathies at this time of sorrow. The funeral will occur tomorrow afternoon at 2:30 from the Martin home, Elder C. C. Hill officiating. Interment will be made in South Side Cemetery.
A native of Berks county, Pennsylvania. Mr. Yoder moved his family to West Point, Neb, 33 years ago. He went into business there, making a success, and moved to Omaha 14 years ago. There he had since continued to make his home. Of recent years he has been in failing health, and last March came to New Mexico seeking relief from Hodgkin's disease an enlargement of the glands. In April his wife came here to join him and later a son and daughter joined them here.
The surviving relatives are the widow, nine children and four grandchildren. The children are Mrs. Martin, Elizabeth, Kimball and Harland Yoder, all in Roswell; Mrs. W. B. Irwin, of Oak Park, Ill; Clara and Ruth Yoder, of Omaha; Betolette of North Platte, Neb., and Sol. Yoder, of Monarch, Wyo. He also leaves five sisters.
The deceased was a veteran of the Civil War, having fought three years in the Federal army. He was a Mason and a citizen of the highest type."

"Miss Elizabeth Yoder leaves tomorrow morning for her home at Omaha, Neb. She was called here by the illness of her father, the late B. Y. Yoder, and has been visiting her sister, Mrs. C. C. Martin."
