He was born Dec. 25, 1933, in South Bloomfield, the son of Claude and Dorothy (Weaver) Wells.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran, life member of AMVETS, Pickaway County Shrine, Masonic Lodge #23 F&AM and the Elks and a proud member of the Pumpkin Show Parade Committee.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Sandra "Sandy" (Dent) Wells; and a daughter, Kelly Wells. He is survived by his children, Robert, Victoria and Johnny Wells; four grandchildren, Jessica (Kris) Kersbergan, Ashley Wells, Kendall and Chase Bailey; two great-grandchildren, Savannah and Gabriel; and sister, Bonnie (Roger) Koch.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 3, 2011, at the Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville, with Robert Wells officiating.
Burial will be in Forest Cemetery. Friends may call from 1-3 and 5-7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
