Ernestine "Ernie" Faye Murphy, 75,
of Erie, IL, died Friday, June 13,
2014 at her home. Celebration of
Life Services will be held at
10:30 AM Tuesday, June 17th at
Gibson – Bode Funeral Home, Erie.
Visitation will be from 4-7 PM
Monday at the funeral home. Burial
will be in the Erie Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Erie
Ambulance Service.

Ernie was born December 24, 1938
in Flora, Illinois, the daughter
of Pearl and Faye Brummet. She
graduated from Geneseo High School.
Ernie married Ronald G. Murphy on
December 30, 1958 in Erie. She was
a homemaker, raising her four
daughters in Erie. Ernie enjoyed
working in the yard and listening
to country music – especially
George Jones. She loved her cats
and their companionship.

Ernie is survived by her 4
daughters and their spouses,
Jeri (Kevin) Misfeldt, Judy (Jerry)
Woodhurst, Debbie (Randy) DeBoer,
and Brenda (Mike) Brown, all of Erie;
8 grandchildren, Ron Misfeldt
(Don Schutte), Amber (Mathew) Pratt,
Nick (Natalie) Woodhurst, Jacob
Woodhurst, Greg DeBoer, Eric
(Justine) DeBoer, Michelle (Colley)
Opheim, Chad Sutton; 5 great
grandchildren, Brayton Snow,
Alyssa Pratt, Everett Pratt, Piper
Woodhurst, Payton Opheim; siblings,
Edna Mae Smith, East Moline, Roger

in death by her parents; husband,
Ronald in 1996; brother, LaVerne Brummet
