Christopher Jaden Coffey, age 9, of 940 Mill Race Road, Verona, went home to be with his Heavenly family on Thursday July 10, 2014.
He was born in Fishersville, VA, November 9, 2004, son of Stephanie McGirr Coffey and Jeremy L. Coffey.
Christopher was a student at Verona Elementary School where he particularly loved football and animals, especially his cat "Milo" and lizard "Phillip Fred".
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Paul "Richard" McGirr, and James L. Coffey; and a cousin, C.D. Sprouse.
His memories will be cherished by his mother and father, Stephanie M. and Jeremy L. Coffey of Verona; sister, Danielle A. Coffey of Verona; grandparents, Donna K. McGirr, Darlene K. Cash and Gary Cash; aunts and uncles, Tonya Anderson of Huntington, WV, Mark McGirr of OH, Jamie and David Simmons of Reidsville, NC, Daniel Hemp of Waynesboro, Sidney and Tonya Eavey of Waynesboro, Michelle and James Johnston of Brenton, WV, Regina and Larry Sprouse of Craigsville; 14 loving cousins; and special friend of the family, Cory Meadows.
The family will receive friends from 6:30 PM tonight until their last guest departs.
Funeral services will be held at 12:30 PM Tuesday July 15, 2014 in the chapel of McDow Funeral Home by William Morgan. Interment will follow in Augusta Memorial Park.
