Warren A. Green 87 of Quinland, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on July 13, 2014.
He was the son of the late Otis and Enola Kuhn Green of Bim. He was preceded in death by his three brothers, Otis, Jr., Hursel and Jack, great grandson Levi and son in law Rudi Sackett.
He was a retired from Westmoreland Coal Co with 30 plus years of service, a member of the UMWA, was a WWII Navy veteran and participated in the Normandy Invasion. He was an avid gardner and loved to ginseng. His pride and joy was his many children and grandchildren.
Those left to cherish his memories are his loving wife of 65 years, Anna Mae Price Green, his four sons; Michael, Doug(Betty), Joey(Robin) and Marshall (Angie), two daughters; Diana (Roger) Robertson and Ramona Sackett, three sisters; Helen Vance, Sue Jarrell and Marlene Childres, 13 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.
A private graveside services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 15, 2014 Green Cemetery, Bim with Tim Bailey officiating.
In lieu of flowers, please send donation the Daniel Boone VFW Post 5578, Madison, WV. Arrangements are by the Handley Funeral Home, Danville,WV
