Willard Lee Yordy, 70, of rural Heyworth died at 4:15 a.m. yesterday (Feb. 27, 1991) at his home.

He was born May 8, 1920, in Benson, the son of Joel and Prudence Bolinger Yordy.

He married Barbara Easton on Aug. 23, 1942, in Toledo. She survives.

Other survivors include two sons, Stanley, Austin, Texas, and Durand, Greenfield, Ind.; one daughter, Jackie Wellenreiter, Greenfield; three brothers, Harold and Lowell, both of Dixon; and Hollis, Divernon; one sister, Eunice Hoover, 1502 W. Hovey Ave., Normal; and seven grandchildren.

One brother, two sisters and a grandson preceded him in death.

He farmed in the Heyworth area since 1953. Before farming, he was a carpenter, and for the past 15 years was a substitute mail carrier in Heyworth.

He was a World War II Army veteran, serving 1942-1946, and a 1939 graduate of Heyworth High School.

He was a member of the United Methodist Church, Heyworth.
