Virginia McDonald, Nov. 17, 1921- went home to her Lord, Feb. 1, 2013, age 91. Virginia was born in Campbell, MO. Her family came to Flint in 1928. Virginia graduated from Flint Central High School and attended Baker College. She worked as a secretary for the Buick-General Manager. Virginia was then a stay at home mom while active in her church and community until the time of death of her first husband Murray M. Perry, she then worked for Genesee County Corp. Counsel until her retirement. She married Wayne R. McDonald in 1977. Wayne and her enjoyed traveling around the U.S. and spent winters in Punta Gordo, FL for 23 years. Virginia always left an unforgettable impression on all the people she ever met in her life. Virginia was preceded in death by her daughter Nancy (Perry) Bigelow, her first husband Mel Perry, parents Sam and Imogene McElyea, and brother Bill McElyea. She is survived by her husband Wayne McDonald; son Richard and wife Elspeth (Grate) Perry; grandchildren Natalie (Gary) Bacon of WY, Sydney (Phil) Klein of NE, Devon Ray (Bigelow) Ragonese of Saginaw; great-grandchildren Kyle, Kade, Karli Bacon of WY, Skylar and Colby Rogers of NE. Visitation will be Mon., Feb. 4, 2013 from 1-5 PM and funeral services will be Tues., Feb. 5 at 11 AM at the Dryer Funeral Home, Holly.
