LOWE, DOROTHY IRENE Age 80, of Jackson, passed away July 11, 2014 at Allegiance Health. She is survived by seven children, Betty Partin, Stella 'Sue' (Dave) Rudd, Judy Webb, Barb Krauss, Karen Patterson, Sharon (Gary) Mroz and Buz Childers; 27 grandchildren and their spouses; 90 great-grandchildren and 17 great-great grandchildren; sister, Dixie Smith; two brothers, Leo and Fred (Helen) Lowe; her beloved canine companion, 'Little Bit' and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Joan Kay Childers; two sons, Ricky Lee and Gene Childers; parents, Charles and Sarah (maiden-Blair) Lowe; two sisters and five brothers. Dorothy loved family times and hosting large family barbecues at her home. She was a cook at family owned Jackson area restaurants for many years. Services will be held at the funeral home Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at 11 AM. Interment Hillcrest Memorial Park. Visitation will be Monday 2-4 and 6-8 PM.
