Elgin married Vivian Tobler on December 30, 1930 and is survived by his wife of 73 years and six children: Lorna McArthur (Will) Rogers; Doris (Joe) Hutchings; Clark (Tonya) Graff; John (DeAnn) Graff; Ken (Kerrie) Graff; and Jeri (Larry) Larson. He is also survived by 39 grandchildren, 69 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter Emogene (Tosco) Houston and son-in-law Ronald Val McArthur.
Dad's primary interest in life was his family. He owned his own farm, was self-employed for many years hauling produce and cattle and eventually was a linedriver for Rocky Mountain and Milne Truck Lines. He enjoyed ranching, ball games, gardening, hunting, fishing, telling jokes, singing for his grandchildren, and generally enjoyed life to the fullest.
Funeral services will be held Friday, September 24, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at the Santa Clara Stake Center (1706 North Desert Dawn Drive) in Santa Clara. Friends may call Thursday from 7:00 - 8:00 p.m. and Friday from 9:30 a.m. until time of services both viewings at the Santa Clara Stake Center. Interment will be in the Santa Clara Cemetery under the direction of Southern Utah Mortuary.
