Mrs. Karen Amelia Olson Mineer, 65, died Wednesay at 2 a.m. at her residence, 151 Harvard Ave., of causes incident to age.
A daughter of Ole and Gustava Charlotte Peterson Olson, she was born June 3, 1887, in Lillalomma, Sweden. She came to the United States as a convert to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, settling in Salt Lake City in 1911.
She was married to Alma Ambrose Mineer Oct. 18, 1911, in the Salt Lake Temple of the LDS Church. The couple made their home in Salt Lake City for four years, then moved to Midvale, where they lived for seven years. They returned to Salt Lake City in 1922.
Besides her husband, she is survived by three sons: Arthur H. and Lawrence A. Mineer, Mdivale; Kenneth A. Mineer, Bountiful; four daughters, Mrs. Hugh (Mary) McNellis, Venice, Cal.; Mrs. Harry (Venice) Bannon and Mrs. Earl (Frances) Mazzei, Salt Lake City; mrs. Demont (Ethel) Hayes, Bountiful, and 24 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 1:30 p.m. at Goff Mortuary, 16 West Center St., Midvale, by Arnold J. Butterfield, bishop of the Midvale First LDS Ward.
Friends may call at the place of services Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday prior to services. Burial will be in Midvale City Cemetery.
