"Mrs Mary D McBride, one of the well-known residents of Jacksville, died at the home of her son, E A McBride, Thursday morning at 9:50 am. She had been in poor health for some time, suffering from a complication of ills, but had been seriously ill about 15 days. Mrs McBride was 68 years of age and was the widow of Samuel J McBride, whose death occurred four years ago. Her maiden name was Cotton. She had resided in Jacksville for some years and was a member of the Rich Hill Presbyterian church. Surviving her are two children, E A McBride, with whom she made her home, and Mrs Mary G Cook of Shenandoah, Ia. She leaves also a sister, Mrs Sarah Dean of Slippery Rock, and a half brother, William Cotton of Pulaski. Arrangements for the funeral have not been completed."
