Pneumonia Causes Death of a Well Known Rio Grande Western Agent

Midvale, Oct. 11. -- Decatur W. Ammerman died at his residence Sunday evening of pneumonia. He was born in Tarleton, O., Feb 4, 1848. He married Miss Effie Van Achen 35 years ago in Bloomfield, Ia. He had resided here the last 18 years. Fifteen years of that time he was Rio Grande Western agent. The other three years he was storekeeper of the Bingham smelting plant. His widow, one son and two daughters, Mrs. Maggie Bennett and Mrs. Maude McElvaney, survive him.

He was prominent in fraternal orders, being past chancellor grand and keeper of records and seals of the K. of P., and past noble grand and reporter to the grand lodge of the I. O. O. F.

Funeral services will be held in the family residence Wednesday, Oct. 13, at noon. The services will be under the auspices of the K. of P. lodge. Interment will be in East Jordan cemetery.
