Her parents were Josephin Bonifacino and Luigi Moro, who preceded her indeath. She was raised by her foster parents, the former Mr. and Mrs. James Campanaro of Sanger, California. Raised in a setting of wine vineyards, she graduated from Sanger Union High School during which she pursued one of her interests by learning to converse in German, and Spanish as well as the English language.
Mrs. Jo, as she was affectionately called by most people who knew and loved her, was predeceased by her husband, Earl "Boodly" Harrist, a former professional baseball player with the Chicago White Sox, Washington Senators, and the St. Louis Browns. During her husband's career, she traveled extensively around the nation collecting numerous antiques. Each antique, after being researched, would have a story of its own, which she gladly shared with numerous friends and relatives over the years.
Mrs. Jo was an active member of the First Baptist Church, Order of The Eastern Star, and the Women's Missionary Union.
Mrs. Jo leaves behind a sister-in-law, Mrs. Inez Payne, of Ruston, La. and a host of nephews, nieces and friends.
