Maxine Wright Wade, 92, died Monday, April 20, 2009 at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home.
Born August 21, 1916, in Chapmansville, WV, she was the daughter of the late Sanford and Amma Wright and the widow of James Paul Wade. She was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church and the Chreitzberg-Lydian-Lanham Sunday School Class. Mrs. Wade was a product of West Virginia and proud of her mountain heritage. She was also a long-time resident of North Augusta, SC, where she had many friends. She was a lifetime member of the Order of the Eastern Star and the White Shrine. In recent years, she lived in the Spartanburg area and grew very fond of the Upstate and her friends and acquaintances in the area. Her pride was greatest in the products of her kitchen, her daughter, and her grand-children and great grand-children. Survivors include her daughter and husband,two grandchildren,two great-granddaughters, a niece,and two special friends. She was predeceased by two brothers, Palmer Wright and Claude Wright.
