Mr. Adams was born August 11, 1898 at Caldwell, Idaho to the late Gustav and Edith Adams. He grew up near Red Cloud and served in the United States Army during World War I.
He was married May 26, 1925 at Friend to Hildegarde Swanson. They came to Culbertson in 1934 where they farmed west of there. Mr. Adams retired in 1976 and moved to Kearney. He was a past commander of the Adam Miller American Legion Post No. 133 at Culbertson and a member of the Culbertson Masonic Lodge and Order of Eastern Star.
Survivors include his wife, Hildegarde of Kearney; two sons, Dwight Adams of Kearney and Dr. Gordon Adams of Norfolk; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; and one brother, Hobart Adams of Franklin.
Services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the United Methodist Church of Culbertson with the Rev. Richard Atherton officiating. Interment will be in the Culbertson Cemetery under the direction of the Herrmann Funeral Home at Culbertson.
Friends may call at the Herrmann Funeral Chapel of Culbertson and memorials may be given in his name and left at the funeral home.
