Mildred L. Geisler, 91 years old of Decatur, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, July 10, 2014 at her residence.

She was born on Thursday, January 18, 1923 in Scott, Ohio the daughter of the late Roy Rogers and the late Minnie F. (O'Day) Rogers. She married Kent C. Geisler on February 5, 1949 in Covington, Kentucky and he passed away on August 6, 2013.

Mildred was a member of the Zion United Church of Christ in Decatur and their Women's Guild. She was an avid sports fan and loved watching IU Basketball and Chicago Cubs baseball.

She graduated from Hoagland - Jackson High School and received her nursing degree in 1944 from Deaconess Nursing School in Cincinnati, Ohio. She retired from Adams Memorial Hospital in 1987 with 37 years of service where she had been the Director of Nursing.

Survivors are her daughter, Jacqueline (Monty) Cochran of Cumming, Georgia; granddaughter, Casey (Shawn) Snipes of Tallahassee, Florida; and great-granddaughter, Addison Snipes also of Tallahassee.

Preceding Mildred in death were six sisters and five brothers.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, July 14, 2014 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home in Decatur with Pastor Jerry Flueckiger officiating. Interment will follow in the Willshire Cemetery in Willshire, Ohio.

Friends will be received from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Monday, July 14 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home in Decatur.
