James was born on July 14, 1945 in Monroe NC. He served his country in the US Army and was a Vietnam Veteran. He Retired from the Auto Industry and enjoyed his family, camping and fishing.
He was predeceased by his mother; Eunice Nancy Wallace and is survived by his loving wife of 31 years; Mary Tison Hemphill, son; Patrick (Amy) Hemphill of Yulee FL, grandchildren; Casey and Hannah Hemphill of Bryceville FL and Jamie Hemphill of Yulee FL, daughters; Johanna Hemphill of Jacksonville FL and Carrie Hemphill of Callahan FL, 2 older brothers and numerous nieces and nephews.
Viewing will be held at Nassau Funeral Home Monday April 29, 2013 from 6-8pm. The family invites you to a Celebration of his home going on Tuesday April 30, 2013 from 5-8pm at 35075 Nancy Road Callahan FL.
In Lieu of flowers the family ask that you make donations to The American Cancer Society in his honor.
