Eric W. "Chicken-Bear" Anderson, a lifelong resident of Maringouin, he died Monday, April 9, 2012 at Baton Rouge General, Mid-City. He was 55.

Survived by his mother, Oneida Wessinger Anderson; 12 brothers and sisters, Nathaniel Anderson, Jr., Kirkland and wife Paulette, Gregory and wife Wendy, Kelvin and wife Felicia, Cherlyn and husband Ernest Overton, Carol Anderson, and Andrea Anderson, all of Maringouin, and John Anderson and wife Dawn, Harold and wife Zanniah, Patricia Wiley and husband Alfred, Sandra Gist and husband John, and Trena Vigers, all of Baton Rouge;

aunts and uncles, Joseph and wife Charleszetta Anderson of Dayton, Ohio, Jessie Anderson Jr. and wife Equilla of Maringouin, Eliza Wessinger of Baton Rouge, Daisy Wessinger and Gloria Wessinger of Lafayette and Geraldine Anderson of Maringouin;

nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.

Religious service, at Word of Life Christian Center, 40066 Hwy. 22, Darrow, La., conducted by Apostle Leroy Thompson. Interment at the church cemetery.
