Hannah's Obituary: "Hanna G. RHEA. Mrs. Hannah Glendenning Rhea, a resident of Long Beach for more than forty years, died yesterday at a local hospital. She had been living recently at the Ambassador Apartments, 35 Alboni Place. Mrs. Rhea was the widow of Dr. Albert Rhea, a surgeon with the Santa Fe Railroad for a score of years. Born in Pennsylvania, Mrs. Rhea had been a school teacher in that State many years before coming West. In California she lived at Barstow, Daggett and Calico before moving with her husband to Long Beach. She was a charter member of the First Presbyterian Church, and later the Second Presbyterian Church here. In addition Mrs. Rhea was an active member of the P.E.O. and had served as a president of the Woman's City Club. A brother, James Glendenning of Palmdale; a half-brother, George Glendenning: Los Angeles; three nieces, Edith Rhea, Lela Rhea and Mrs. Fannie Porter, all of Long Beach, survive. The funeral service will be Thursday at 10 A.M. at the chapel of Patterson & McQuilkin, Sixth Street and Locust Avenue. Dr. Ewing Hudson, pastor of the Second Presbyterian Church, officiating." --Long Beach Press Telegraph, Tues. January 26 1937.
