Married June 29 1920 in Nimrod, Perry Co, AR. They moved to Galveston Co 1937 with their five children, youngest Charles, just a few months old.
Susie Elizabeth Myers, 90, passed away Monday at Gulf Health Care Center, Galveston.
She was a resident of Galveston for over 56 years and a member of Central Christian Church. She was also a member of the Sons of Hermann Gulf Lodge No. 46.
She was preceded in death by her husband, B.L. (AC) Myers and two daughters, Blanche Wilcox and Dorothy June Brown.
Survivors will be three daughters, Betty Seal and husband, Kenneth of Silsbee, Texas, Joan Christopher and husband, Chris of Fairwood Oaks, Texas, and Marion Myers of La Marque, Texas; three sons, Don Myers and wife, Maxine of Santa Fe, Texas, Charles Myers and wife, Doris of Galveston, Texas, and A.V. (Wimpy) Myers and.wife, Linda of Santa Fe, Texas; 18 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services held at Malloy & Son Funeral Home in Galveston, Texas, Thursday, 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Herbert Polinard officiating. Burial at Grace Memorial Park in Alta Loma, Texas.
Visitation will be at Malloy & Son Funeral Home, Wednesday, after 5:00 p.m., for friends.
Pallbearers will be Mrs. Myers's grandsons.
