Don was born June 18, 1921, in Council Bluffs, Iowa to R. G. and Katherine E. (Langan) Beatty.

He graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School in 1939 and proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during WWII.

Don was a trust department auditor for U.S. National Bank for 33 years, retiring in 1983.

He was a member of V.F.W. Post #737.

Donald J. Warner, age 93, of Council Bluffs, Iowa, passed away July 9, 2014, at Northcrest Care Center in Council Bluffs.

In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by his brother and sister-in-law, Thomas and Helen Beatty.

Don is survived by his niece, Kathleen (Richard) Clayton; and great niece, Aleisha Clayton all of Council Bluffs.

Visitation Saturday, July 12, one hour prior to the graveside service at 11 am. Reverend Dr. Tony Paff will conduct the service at Walnut Hill Cemetery,Council Bluffs, Iowa, with military rites by the V.F.W. Post #737.

Cutler-O'Neill Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home, Council Bluffs, Iowa, in charge of arrangements.
