COSBY, TN Richard J Kibler, 85, passed away Tuesday, July 8, 2014, at Tennova Residential Hospice in Knoxville, Tenn. He was the husband of the late Edith K. (Shank) Kibler. Born February 5, 1929, in York, a son of the late William and Carble (Baily) Kibler, he was a Veteran of the United States Navy, and was retired from Preston Trucking Company in Strinestown. He was a volunteer at Tennova Newport Medical Center and was an active Ham radio operator. He was a member of Newport Seventh-day Adventist Church, and the Million Mile Club. Mr. Kibler is survived by three daughters, Carol Burns of Ontario, Canada, Crystal Hamer and her husband, Daniel of Edgemoor, S.C., and Susan Ramirez and her husband, Daniel of Greensboro, N.C.; three sons, Scott Suy and his wife, Debbie of Cosby, Tenn., William Kibler of York, and Jere Kibler of Fort Worth, Texas; a sister, Nancy Smead of York; 13 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Patsy McClean and Edith Poff. A graveside service is scheduled for 3 p.m. Friday, July 18, 2014, at Susquehanna Memorial Gardens, York, with a flag presentation by the York County Veterans Honor Guard. William E. Little Funeral Homes, Inc., 60 S. Main St., Manchester, is in charge of arrangements.
