GOODING • Vicki Lea Rogers passed away Monday, July 7, 2014, at her home in Gooding surrounded by family and friends.

Vicki was born Feb. 19, 1945, in Wendell, Idaho. She married Ray Rogers on Oct. 23, 1959. They were later sealed for time and eternity in the Idaho Falls Temple in October 1961. Vicki was a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in numerous callings until her illness made it difficult. Vicki's first love and her priority was her family, which she served with love and devotion for more than 50 years.

She is survived by her husband, Ray, of more than 54 years; her children, Tamera (Blaire) Roper of Layton, Utah, Theron (Teresa) Rogers of Glendale, Ariz., Tracy (Elizabeth) Rogers of Gooding, Tony (Patricia) of Kaysville, Utah, Robert (Karla) Rogers of Richfield, Idaho, Jodi (Russell) Straube of Phoenix, Ariz., James (Amy) Rogers of Lyman, Wyo., Sandra (Joe) Youngblood, Shawna (Jason) Youngblood, Amber (Brad) Savage and Keenan Rogers, all of Gooding. She is also survived by three brothers, Dennis Brownlee, Gary Brownlee and Gordon Rogers; one sister, Elaine Henson; 33 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, LeaEtta, Norman "Dad" Rogers; her father, Victor Brownlee; and by her oldest daughter, Sherry Lynn.

Her smiles, hugs and unconditional love will be missed by all who knew her but most especially by her grandchildren.

A viewing will be held from 4-7 p.m. Monday, July 14, at the DeMaray Funeral Service, 737 Main St. in Gooding. The funeral for Vicki will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 15 at the Gooding LDS 1st Ward Chapel, 1228 Main St., with Bishop Vance McHan officiating. Burial will be at the Gooding Cemetery immediately following the funeral.

A special fund has been established to help the family defray funeral expenses. Those wishing to make donations to the Vicki Rogers Funeral Fund may do so at any Wells Fargo Bank branch.
