During Spanish Civil War, she was member of Alliance of Antifascists Intellectuals. She and her husband were forced to exile and moved to France, Argentina and Italy. In 1977, they returned to Spain. Among her works "Cuentos para Soñar," "Huelga en el Puerto," "Cuentos de la España Actual," "La Tragedia Optimista," "Morirás Lejos," "Contra Viento y Marea," "El Gran Amor de Bécquer," "Fábulas de Tiempo Amargo" and "La Libertad en el Tejado." He died of Alzheimer's disease in Madrid, Spain.
