Mrs. McDaniel, 78, was born Nov. 2, 1899, the daughter of William Christy and Alice Bargar Robbins at the old Robbins homestead south of Meadville. She was educated in the Union Ridge rural school, Meadville High School and Chillicothe Business College. She united with Center Presbyterian Church and in 1921 married William F. McDaniel. The couple lived in Hamilton for a number of years before moving to Wood River, Ill., in 1938. Mr. McDaniel died in 1951. Mrs. McDaniel was a civil service employee in the United States Record Center in St Louis for 25 years, retiring in 1965.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Mrs. Birdie Rooker and Mrs. Martha Taylor. Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Carrie Friesner of Meadville, and several nieces, nephews and other relatives." The Chillicothe Constitution-Tribune (Chillicothe, Missouri), March 6, 1978
