"Mrs Tauber Dies at Age of 91 - She Had Been Resident of Spartansburg More Than 35 Years - Services Friday - Mrs Susan Tauber, aged 91, for more than 35 years one of the best known residents of Spartansburg, died at home of her daughter, Mrs C N Titus, at 2:45 pm Tuesday. She suffered a stroke of apoplexy about three months ago and since that time had been confined to her bed most of the time. She was a member of the M E church for many years and always took an active part in the religious and social affairs of the church and community which endeared her to a wide circle of friends. She always had enjoyed good health until her last illness, and was very active for one of her years, piecing quilts and doing other work of art with the needle. Mr Tauber died about 30 years ago. She leaves the following children: Mrs Anna Wells of Dallas, Texas; Mrs J C Conover and Harry Tauber of Bartlesville, Okla; Earl Tauber of Mount Vernon, Ill; Miss Freda Tauber of Spartansburg. She also leaves 12 grandchildren. Services in her memory will be conducted at 2 pm Friday from the home of her daughter, Mrs C N Titus, with the pastor, Rev Herbert Schuckers, officiaitng. Interment will be in Rose Hill cemetery."
