Patricia Irene Burkhart Armstrong, 71, of Des Moines passed away Sunday, August 17, 2008 at the Kavanagh House on Grand with her family present.
Patricia was born on June 14, 1937 in Perry, IA to Stephen and Beatrice (Beers) Burkhart. She married Calvin Armstrong in 1960 in Perry. She lived in Perry, Ames and Boone prior to moving to Des Moines in 1985. She retired from Northwestern Bell in 1993 and then worked for Wal-Mart for 16 years.
Patricia was a member of the Bell Ladies Luncheon Club. She enjoyed spending time with grandchildren and great-grandchildren, crocheting, shopping and lunches with the Bell ladies.
Patricia is survived by 2 daughters, Carolyn Armstrong of Des Moines and Annette (Raymond) Gaskill of Boone; 3 granddaughters, Sarah (Mark) Benge, Emily Holman and Alison Gaskill; and 3 great-grandchildren, Madeline and Brody Benge and Kalvin Holman. She was preceded in death by her parents.
