John A. Lauer, a retired foundry worker, died Tuesday in a Portland hospital. He was 75.

Mr. Lauer, who resided at 12240 N.E. Holladay Place, was born in Russia and came to Portland in 1952.

A member of the International Molders Union, he retired in 1969.

Survivors include his sons, John of Gresham, Edward and Lawrence, both of Portland, Albert and Paul, both of Denver, and Joe of Sterling, Colo.; daughters, Josephine Hinck of Portland and Joann Samodurov of Gresham; brother Joe of Sterling; sisters, Mary Saci of Brighton, Colo. Lillian Amrein of Plains, Kan., Betty Ringleman of Sidney, Neb., and Mabel Unrein of Sterling; 21 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

Recitation of the Rosary will be in Zeller Chapel of the Roses at 6:30 p.m. Thursday. Funeral will be in St. Therese Church at 10 a.m. Friday, with interment in Gethsemani Cemetery.
