Ruth Hussey Presque Isle. Died 8-28-1983 at a Augusta hospital. She was born in Presque Isle in 1903 the daughter of Adelbert and Eva (Pomroy) Lombard. She was a lifelong member of the United Congregational Church, where she served as the church organist for many years and was a charter member of the Onaway Club. She was a accomplished musician and was a music instructor to 3 generations in the Presque Isle area. She was a graduate of PIHS, and studied piano and organ at the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston, MA. She was a member of the Pierian Club of Presque Isle, the Presque Isle Country Club, the Music Society in Washington D.C. and was very active in music circles throughout Aroostook County. She is survived by her husband, Frank Hussey of Presque Isle, 1 daughter, Mrs. Kenneth (Maxine Hedrich) Jackson of Augusta, ME., 2 grandsons, James Lombard Jackson of New York City and Paul Hedrich Jackson of Portland, 3 stepsons, Gorham Hussey of St. Paul, MN., Charles Hussey II of Willemette, IL. and Boynton Hussey of Houston, TX., 1 stepdaughter, Lavinia Hussey of Boston, MA., 9 step grandchildren. Burial Fairmount cemetery.
